Did you know… that groups from St Thomas Crookes regularly go and spend time with homeless people in Sheffield city centre? We share food and hot drinks with them, but more importantly, share life: just spending time together, talking, interacting, and praying with people. They see so many people go past so fleetingly – it’s great to go regularly, to spend time and to build up friendships. We also help provide warm clothes and sleeping bags (donations always welcome!)
Want to get involved?
We go out on Wednesday afternoons (4pm), Saturday mornings (10am), and Saturday evenings (7pm to make food for an 8pm soup kitchen). Contact the church office for full details.
Can’t make it? Perhaps you could pray on a regular basis for us and for the homeless people that we meet – there are already some cell groups that do this and it’s great to be supported in this way. Again, contact the church office.
