The Besom'A team from my cluster had the chance to lend a helping hand to a struggling single parent who lives in a disadvantaged area of the city, by spending just a few hours clearing their overgrown garden. As a result, her children can now enjoy the garden in safety. This was such a simple way to show the love of Jesus in a practical way and, in doing so, make a real difference to someone's life. I would encourage cells, clusters and anyone else to get involved!' - Simon, time-giver
Jesus requires his followers to serve the poor and vulnerable (see, for example, Matthew 25: 31-46) but it can often seem difficult to know where to start.
