Hope 2008 is a UK initiative to help churches demonstrate the Christian faith in word and action. SheffieldHope08 works to support mission and outreach initiatives that aim to encourage, extend and unfold HOPE throughout the city. How to get involved? Join with your cell or cluster to do acts of kindness in your community. You could... … Offer time, money or things through BESOM … Litter pick … Help support the Firvale community … Join the students in offering hot drinks to the homeless … Simply offer hospitality & friendship to someone in need Join the City Wide initiatives… Hope on the Street The first Saturday of the following months there will be volunteer teams and street projects demonstrating acts of kindness to the people in the following areas: May 3rd - Upperthorpe/Langsett June 7th - Burngreave/Pitsmoor July 5th - Jordanthorpe August 2nd – Hillsborough For more information on how to get involved, contact www.sheffieldhope08.co.uk or the church office. |
