In St Thomas Crookes we have many ways to get involved in church life. One of the best ways to get to know people is to join a team. If you would like to join a team or know more about them, please fill in the form below.
Here are introductions to some of our teams:
Are you a creative genius? Are you a budding photographer, a web wizard, a Photoshop genius, or even the next Peter Jackson? Then there may be a place for you to serve on the Media Team.
We are looking for creatives to serve the media team in one of the following areas:
- Web Design
- Photography
- Graphic Design
- Video Recording and Editing
- Music Production
By volunteering on the media team you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and learn some new ones. Also, it is a great way of serving the church and the Lord by using the gifts that he has given you.
The The Audio-Visual team is an essential part of Sunday Gatherings and special events, providing support to speakers and worship teams through the sound, projection and lighting systems.
We’ve got versatile hardware, top quality software and a dedicated AV booth up in the church balcony with a great view! We’re always open to new recruits and can provide appropriate training for people of any experience or none at all.

Are you a musician, a vocalist, or perhaps interested in sound engineering or recording?
If so, then we’re always looking for Godly, enthusiastic people to serve the church. You don’t need to be Jimi Hendrix on guitar or have vocals that would rival Beyonce to play on Sundays; all we ask is that you’re willing to make a commitment to the team.
Secondly, we’ll need to ensure that you possess the necessary skill and gifting in the area you’re interested in.

Do you have a heart to welcome and serve people with the best quality refreshments that St. Thomas’ can provide? Then the Hospitality teams are for you!
We have a number of teams who make and serve coffee and tea after the
9am and 11am morning Gatherings and if you wished to be part of a team
you would:
- Be on a Rota every 4-5 weeks
- Receive training from the team leader
- Meet new people
- Connect with lots of people in the church as you serve them
- Opportunity to serve in a pratical ministry
There is also the opportunity to serve occasionally on a team providing
hospitality for separate events and conferences in the church, both
midweek and on Saturdays.
