Ruth Aidley - Reception, Admin & Website
Ruth is generally the first person you come into contact with if you come into the church building during the week, perched at the reception desk as she usually is. She does the day-to-day admin of the church, which ranges from answering the phone to producing the weekly bulletin and updating this website, and really enjoys the variety of tasks involved. She's also church council secretary and does some PA work for Mick Woodhead, so she very rarely lacks things to do!
Ruth coordinates the church AV team who operate the sound, lighting and projection systems for Sunday gatherings and other events, so she's often to be found at one of the desks up on the balcony and her name frequently comes up in sermon recordings - usually in the context of "Can we have the next slide please Ruth"!
At home, Ruth enjoys playing melodeon and piano, reading, and doing puzzles (codewords, sudoku and jigsaws).
