Student Clusters

The idea of the student clusters is to be a place of belonging for all university students and recent graduates who want to hang out with and be discipled by people who are in the same phase of life.

Here are the details about the student clusters...

Delta

Delta can mean a place in a river where water flows out. It also means to change. This is what we want to be as disciples of Jesus. As a cluster we want to know the continually transforming love of God that changes lives, both for ourselves and others. We do this practically by doing club outreach, prayer ministry in the city centre, washing up in uni accommodation, and we want to send some of our members to Uganda to help with a youth work project.

Leaders: Rosie Condrup & James Brown

Rave

RAVE stands for: Relevant, Attractive, Visible, Everyday. We're a group of Christians fed up with comfortable Christianity, we're fed up of confining it to a church building, we believe that Jesus is relevant, attractive and visible everyday, wherever we are! Therefore we want to be set apart, to shine like stars in this generation. We want to raise up, disciple and send out a generation of young men and women who want Jesus to be a part of every aspect of their lives, whether they're alone in their room, or out in a club with their mates. Showing people they have a God who loves them through our words and actions.

Leaders: Becky Frankham & Louise Cerson

Relate

We are a cluster that reaches out to our neighbours and brings them into community through our relationships with each other and with God. So, who's your neighbour?
We meet as cells on a Wednesday and Thursday and meet as a cluster once a month. Come and chat to us if you want to find out more.
We also have a Facebook group: search for "Relate cluster".

Leaders: Ben Rapley, Grant Price & Abigail Page

The Edge

We are a group of students who are passionate about extending the genuine friendship that we have in church to those who are outside.  We actively seek to involve housemates, coursemates and everyone on the edge of church in all that we do. We are all about showing the love of Jesus in practical ways.  We meet all the time, all over the city and particularly love to share food!
If you want to know more ask to be introduced or just look for those loudest in church!!

Leaders: Jon Park, Mike McClean & Charlotte Ashdown

Transform

We are a cluster with a passion for social justice; we meet in community to transform each other’s lives; we then reach out to homeless people on the streets of Sheffield. Starting to transform the society around us, through the love of Jesus.
We meet together as broken, unsure and often messy people. God changes and challenges us through this time so we can reach out to and love other broken people in the same way.  We meet on Tuesdays for cell and Saturdays for homeless outreach.

Leaders: Simon Barrett & Rachel Cox

Varsity

We are a group of students who are planting a missional community into an area where thousands of Hallam students live. Our focus is to reach our friends, flatmates and course mates for Christ.
We meet at 7pm on Tuesdays in different homes on Ecclesall Road to eat a meal together, read the Bible, discuss how it applies to our lives, and to pray for each other and for our friends and family. We also meet socially in the week to make friends in the community.
If you’d like to get involved, we would love to have you!

Leaders: Jon Hunter & Andy Bacon
