Student Conference

Ten panel members, six seminar leaders, five headline speakers, five seminars, four sessions, one fifteen piece Big Band, one Comedy Duo … and a partridge in a pear tree!

In just over twenty-four hours, we spent a serious amount of time together, worshipping, growing closer as a Student Community, engaging in mission, dreaming big dreams about Church, learning life skills and asking big questions in seminars.

It was great to see some of the first fruits of the time we spent together in the 7pm Gathering, such a great time of celebrating all that God did over the weekend and praying into what He is about to do with Church for Students.

We’re so grateful to all of you who gave of your time, money and prayers, we wouldn’t have been able to pull off such a great weekend without being a part of the community at St Thomas Crookes and we are so grateful for all the support you’ve given us in the build up and throughout the Student Conference weekend.

Student Alpha

Alpha season is here! Alpha is an eight week course that introduces people to the Christian faith. Over the years we have had Christians, atheists, Muslims, new Christians and every other person in between on Alpha! We have seen God work in many ways and it is one of the best tools in seeing people come to know Jesus.

The Student Church has just launched two Alpha courses that are running simultaneously on Monday evenings at 7pm. One is in the Church Centre at Crookes, where we had 25 students come to explore God. The student team decked out the room with fairy lights and also had a cheeky glass of wine available to students. The other Student Alpha is down in the heart of the city at the incredibly trendy Showroom Cinema! We had 17 students gather for the City Alpha.

The courses have just launched and we are welcoming new people all the time! If you would like to get involved just drop us a line – you’d be very welcome.
