The Besom

The Besom is a Christian charity, founded in 1987 by James Odgers. It now operates in over 30 areas in the UK and several internationally.

Its aim is to practically demonstrate God's love by providing a bridge between those who want to give and those who are in greatest need. It does this by enabling churches to partner with local agencies who are working with the very poorest and most marginalised in society. Organisations that currently work in partnership with Besom include Sheffield Social Services, The Probation Service and various Housing Associations.

Next Besom Prayer Evening - Thursday 1st May

Join others from across Sheffield to support, find out more and pray for Besom and its work with the Sheffield’s poor and marginalised. It would be great to see you there! Thursday 1st May, 8-9pm, The Chapel, Philadelphia Campus.
